Welcome

We are the official representative for the Japan Karate Association in Ireland.
We support members of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

We encourage you to take a look around our site to learn more about us and the JKA. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions.

JKA Ireland was established by Sensei Noel Casey in 1967 when he registered directly with JKA HQ in Japan.

Since then he has been the gate keeper of JKA Karate in Ireland, holding on to the core values of Traditional Japanese Karate and the JKA Way.

Sensei Casey is a 7th Dan "AAA" Instructor and is a member of the JKA Europe Shihankai Technical Committee.

Sensei Casey was the first Instructor in the world to ever succesfully host both the European Championships and the World Championships, 1 year after the other.
